Ludza 1200 hectares of agriculture farm for sale - buy farmland and forest in Latvia.
This land is located in the Eastern part of Latvia next door to Russia, it is 225 km from Riga, and she gets the biggest EU subsidies in this part of Latvia.
The soil is registered as approx. 1200 ha. agricultural area About 150 ha. Forest. The rest about 220 ha is grass, road and scrub that can be partially transformed into agricultural land.
Most of Earth is good loamy topsoil; we also have some black humus soil.
Grain yield can be as in Denmark from 7 to 10 tons per Ha. We have currently leased the land to a local very skilled farmer who grows almost 3000 ha in total. They have recently built an additional silo, weight and drying capacity to 8000 Ton. They also have Trucks, Forestry Machines and Sawmills. They use wood and wood chips as an energy source for all heating and drying. EU grants are around 175 EUR per hectare but will now rise, so it will be the same throughout the EU.
